We offer professional, completely automated skate sharpening services. We sharpen all skates including hockey skates, goalie skates, figure skates and junior skates.
We sharpen your selected Radius of Hollow (ROH) offering 1″, 3/4″, 5/8″, 1/2″, 7/16″ and 3/8″ hollows.
Our “standard” sharpening is a 1/2″ hollow so if you are unsure, that’s what we recommend.
From there you can choose to go with more bite or more glide in the future and we will be happy to assist you in finding your perfect hollow.
Skate sharpening is offered on the spot (subject to how busy the store is) or skates can be dropped off for sharpening.
We suggest sharpening your skates every 6-8 session on the ice. Many competitive and elite players will sharpen after just 2-3 skates to achieve exceptional performance.

Radius of Hollow (ROH) Explanations
Going with a more shallow hollow (closer to 1″) will provide more glide on the ice as the bottom of the skate blade is almost flat and does not require the skate to dig as deeply into the ice, therefore reducing friction.
A deeper hollow (closer to 3/8″) will provide much more bite, or grip into the surface of the ice but slightly less top end speed as the bottom of the blade skate sinks slightly deeper into the ice, creating increased friction.
The most common hollow our customers request is 1/2″, also known as our standard hollow.
Many hockey players will however have a specific hollow they prefer, which will often differ for goalies.
Figure skaters may also have individual preferences for their perfect hollow, and we are happy to help guide all skaters through this process.
